When my husband and I first got married, we lived in a little apartment in a suburb of Portland. In this apartment complex, there was an unspoken code, if you had something you were throwing out - that someone else might like, just set it beside the dumpster. It was the unofficial swap meet of the community.
One day, my husband found a stack of American Weekly newspapers from the 50's, - in mint condition. We took some of our favorite covers of the pile and framed them in floating glass frames (we bought at Target).
All in all, this was a very inexpensive, very unique project that anyone could do. They don't even have to be vintage - you could frame a group of your favorite magazine covers. Displayed in a gallery grouping like this, makes for a wonderful display.
