My favorite part about our living room is that it's unlike anyone else's - because everything is either handmade, vintage and/or repurposed.
Above our TV we have large gallery frames with black and white pictures of our pets. The frames came with white matting, but I recovered it with fabric that coordinates with other items in the living room (i.e. the center frame's fabric is what I used to make the lampshades.)
A vintage style telephone helps pick up the red accents throughout the room while a vintage ball mason jar picks up the blues found on the area rug and various other places throughout the room.
The coffee table and end tables were from an estate sale - and are just raw wood with wrought-iron fixtures.
A vintage bird cage sits atop the wine rack we received as a wedding gift. The glasses hanging in the wine rack are from my Nana's wedding in 1942 - I received them when she passed away last year. They are beautiful etched glass. We have never used them - I am too scared to break one. But they are lovely to look at.
So there you have it - this is our cozy, little living room!
