A Simple Country Style Cocktail Party

We moved into our cottage in mid September - and not only were we blessed with the cutest house on earth - we also have the sweetest neighbors in the world.  I didn't even know neighbors existed like this, aside from on TV or in the movies, but they do - and we are lucky enough to share a street with them.

So, to kick off the New Year with our new neighbors, my husband and I decided to throw a little party - it was a little hors d'oeuvres and drinks gathering.  And our sweet as pie neighbors all contributed by bringing over a dish to share.

I was feeling very crafty when putting this party together - so I hand-stamped and labeled all the beverages and food I prepared and used a champagne cork as a standing label holder and turquoise yarn to attach the labels to glass.  I used mismatched dishes and mason jars for drinkware and set it all up on the handmade farmhouse table my husband built.

The party was a great success; great people, good conversation and a feeling of community you can't put a price tag on.  This place is truly becoming our home :)
