Home is Where the Heart is - I truly believe this. Home can be anywhere, as long as it is a place you love and miss when you've been away too long.
This phrase inspired my latest creation - which combines a couple items that I hold near and dear. The first of those items being the map of Oregon - I found this old map while out antiquing with my husband. I had to have it because not only is it my home state but also because the color combo
would fit in almost every room in our house. The second of the items being the champagne corks. Anytime there is a special occasion or bench mark that is celebrated with champagne I save the corks. 46 corks make up this heart and each one represents a happy occasion shared with family and friends - that makes me feel very loved. And lastly, the two colors of paint I used to make the ombre effect were left over paint cans from the very first place my husband and I lived together in.
Projects like these are my favorite to create. All the items I used were little collections and items that I had been holding on to, waiting to find the perfect project to use them in. I love how this one came together! And here are some pics of the final product! Enjoy :)
